I embarked on this journey over 8 years ago as a social media intern at a reputable marketing agency in my hometown. As my very first job, I wasn't quite sure what to expect or that I would come to love this field and everything it entails. That initial position marked the beginning of my successful management of social media accounts across various industries, including technology, entertainment, photography, real estate, restaurants, and education.
In 2017, I earned my bachelor's degree in Digital Media Communication from the Federal University of Paraiba - UFPB. To be honest, my goal at that time was to pursue a career in photography. Little did I know that I would acquire a wealth of knowledge beyond photography. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege to collaborate with renowned brands such as Instax and Fujifilm, seamlessly blending my passion for photography with my skills in social media. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with The History Channel, where I gained invaluable experience in digital media management, strategy development, team leadership, and much more.
Besides photography, my enthusiasm for gaming and technology has always been a driving force behind my work. While I have a strong background in live streaming games on Twitch and engaging with the gaming community on platforms like Twitter and Reddit, I am well-versed in the broader digital media landscape. Staying abreast of the latest developments in technology and gaming allows me to bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to my work. I am always eager to explore new software and developmental tools that enter our market every year.
But let's get into my work experience for a bit. Please, allow me to highlight a significant challenge I faced during my career. In 2020, I had the opportunity to work with a construction company located near a beach. My task was to enhance their reputation among clients and the local community, as well as assist in selling their apartments. It was no small feat. While leaving the construction site after taking some photos, I was drawn to a gathering of people on the beach. Upon investigation, I was delighted to witness the hatching of numerous baby turtles. Interestingly, there was a non-profit association dedicated to protecting turtle nests along the beach. They ensured the safety of the nests and the successful journey of the baby turtles into the sea.
This experience inspired my favorite campaign ever. I proposed a collaborative campaign where the construction company partnered with this association. We established an exclusive arrangement where new apartment owners at the beach could adopt their own turtle nest through a donation. They were also invited to witness the hatching of these tiny creatures, receiving a beautifully crafted certificate with the exact number of turtles born in their nest and a special kit with exclusive branded items. This initiative raised awareness about the association's work among the new neighborhood residents while providing essential support for their cause. Additionally, my client contributed building materials to aid the association in protecting the nests. This endeavor successfully positioned my client as environmentally conscious and community-oriented, while also offering an exclusive experience to the apartment buyers. It remains one of my most cherished professional experiences to this day.
Soon after, I transitioned to a role at The History Channel Brasil, marking another significant milestone in my career. I began as a community manager in 2021, where I created engaging content for their Instagram account, featuring their new shows and productions, and sharing historical insights and significant global events. Within a year, I received a promotion to the position of Social Media Manager, overseeing the entire content team across multiple social media platforms. This transition was a welcomed challenge that provided me with a new perspective on my role. While I was comfortable planning and creating my own content, leading an entire content team presented new and exciting opportunities. Alongside this, managing The History Channel's diverse and at times challenging community equipped me with the skills to effectively engage with various audiences. While I won't delve into the specifics, I can proudly share that we successfully grew our audience by over 23%, gaining 200k new followers in just one year.
I am confident that my extensive experience in digital media management, coupled with my passion for content creation. gaming, technology, and community engagement, sets me apart in this field. I apply great organizational, strategic, and planning skills to my work, focusing on practical and effective solutions. I believe in working smartly and leveraging the right tools to achieve my goals while maintaining a health work-life balance by working remotely. I am eager to contribute my expertise, creativity, and unwavering dedication to the growth and success of your organization.
